Περίληψη Άρθρου:

Georgia E. Malouchou, Fragment of a curse inscription from Cephisia

A small fragment of an inscription built into the wall near the entrance of the church of Ay. Saranta in Cephisia is published in this article. The fragment is part of a curse that was inscribed on one of the monuments founded by Herodes Atticus to commemorate his wife Regilla and his prematurely deceased pupils Polydeucion, Achilleus and Memnon (see Philostrat, VS 2.559).

It is suggested that the fragment may belong to the lower part of IG II2 13192; however the author has not been able to locate this inscription so as to confirm this hypothesis. Another possibility is that the new fragment belongs together with ΙG ΙΙ²13204 which is  unfortunately considered to be lost.
